Boeing has identified a software glitch on some 737 Max aircraft that can affect automated vertical navigation functions after a missed approach, CNBC World reports.

The glitch, discovered during routine software checks, interferes with the aircraft’s automated vertical navigation system when pilots initiate a missed‑approach procedure. It can cause the system to misinterpret altitude data, potentially leading to incorrect descent commands. The issue is limited to a subset of 737 Max airplanes, and no incidents have been reported yet
